About us

We’re a global qualitative research agency specialising in design research, with offices in London and New York.

We believe design insight is different – it requires a combination of design expertise and research experience that generalist research agencies simply can’t provide. Nowhere else will you find a greater level of global design research knowledge than at The Big Picture. We make design work harder for our clients and have experience across a range of areas including: Pack, NPD, Retail, UX, Visual Brand Identity, Innovation, Strategy and Retail.

The opportunity

We are now looking to expand our team, and are searching for a bright and capable Research Executive to join us. They need to be able to provide high levels of support and original thinking at every stage of the project process – from taking the brief, through to delivering the debrief presentation.

About you

To be considered for the role, you will have approximately 1-2 years’ + experience in a qual research agency with experience working at every stage of the research process.

What we’re looking for
  • A proven passion for design, and a visual eye, which you can apply to our clients’ challenges
  • A sharp thinker with a rigorous approach to analysis, and an ability to distill the data to reveal what’s important
  • An accomplished communicator capable of reporting (in writing and verbally) with clarity and confidence
A good organiser with experience coordinating projects, and great attention to detail
  • An intrepid traveler, excited by the prospect of visiting far flung and close to home destinations
  • Someone who’s empathetic and innately curious about what makes people do what they do.
  • Experience interviewing or moderating is an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of standard software packages (including Word and Keynote, ideally)
  • A team player who thrives on collaborating with clients, colleagues and partners
  • Someone with a keen desire to make a positive contribution to the company culture and office vibe
