Heinz, one of Britain’s most-loved brands, has been sold in a deal estimated to be worth a staggering £18bn. Established in 1869 and a staple in household cupboards ever since, Heinz is a brand which has truly made its mark. Time will only tell what the acquisition will have in store for one of our nation’s favourites.
The House’s brand identity for this year’s Special Olympics is a far cry from the hotly debated London Olympics 2012 identity. The identity cleverly incorporates an arc shape – in homage to Bath’s Royal Crescent, the city where the event will be taking place this summer – and illustrated images of all things sports-related. The simple, brown glass bottle reflects Drip’s 100% pure credentials, whilst the characterful blurb on each and every bottle paints a vivid picture of each variant’s ‘personality’. Sou Fujimoto has been commissioned as the architect for this summer’s Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, describing his vision for the temporary structure as a ‘geometric, cloud-like form’. To date, Fujimoto’s portfolio includes a library with external shelves and an almost wall-less house – we’re guessing, whatever he does with the Pavilion, it’s likely to stand out from the crowd.
