This week, Coca-Cola took all things ‘sugary and sweet’ to the next level by launching their own collection of cosmetics in Boots. Although limited to a small selection of lip balms and glosses, the range represents an intriguing extension for the brand, yet feels appropriate for both Coca-Cola and consumers. Indeed, the retro style packaging communicates ‘feminine beauty’, and makes use of glamourous vintage Coke adverts in a similar vein to competitor cosmetic brands such as Soap & Glory and Benefit.
Luxury tipple Chivas Regal turns its attentions from whisky to film this week with the release of two short films portraying the friendship of four characters. The footage forms part of Chivas’ global advertising strategy to help build rapport with young male consumers, and the hope is that these characters will become “branded entertainment property” for the whisky. Having worked with Chivas before, we think the campaign is in keeping with the brand image yet injects some ingenuity into their ATL activity. Why not decide for yourself by viewing the footage here.
We’re currently craving this Crave Canyon popcorn which explores weird and wonderful flavours from around the world (wasabi popcorn anyone?). And the packaging is pretty exotic too given it encompasses bold colourways to aid variant navigation and proffer some real ‘pop’ on shelf too. Overall, a fresh and modern looking pack, which does premium as well as personality.
And finally, following our announcement last week about our new methodology, The Big Fixture, this week we were actually there! Check out a few of our photos below:
